Wood Kama

Originally considered for cultivating crops, the kama became useful for pruning appendages such as necks, hands, arms and legs. Fighting kama were sharpened on both edges at times. Some had holes in the handles for straps. Kasarigama were 2 kama attached by rope or chain. Kusarigama was kama with chain or rope with a weight on the end (more Japanese in nature). The length should be approximately 1 1/2" past the grip with the top of the blade lined up with the elbow. The blade length should be one half the handle length.
Our kama are currently wood only. We are researching a new provider for kama blades to be mounted. Our handles are oblong 1"x 1 1/4" and made to fit your length or design specifications.
